About me

My passion for art has gone through several stages, and each one taught me an important lesson. Each one has instilled a value that I still carry and implement each time I work on a project.

Art has fascinated me since I was a toddler. I gazed in awe at the fine strokes of my father’s paintbrush on the canvas and the shutter snap of his camera lens. My father was an avid artist. When I remember my childhood, I remember how our walls were adorned with his own artwork. On a typical day, you would find laying around our house watercolor palettes, tubes of gouache paint, brushes, crayons and pencils.

As a child, it was quite common to find me covered with blotches of colors. I started painting at an early stage. I used different mediums since I was exposed to many equipment that belong to my father. I knew I was blessed with this talent.

In primary school, my biggest concern was doing the best I could in my arts class. I was introduced to calligraphy through one of my teachers whom I found continuous support from. I won several school competitions, and my passion for Arabic calligraphy continued to grow ever since. It is still present in my artwork.

In middle school, my passion for drawing and art took a different form. I branched out a little, drawing characters from cartoons that I used to watch. My debut in the digital art world was in high school. I designed badges and logos for  friends and school events. For someone who is self-taught I think I did quite well. In my last year in school, I started working for an advertising agency, and this was the beginning of my actual work with clients. This taught me a lot in terms of working on commercial projects.

However, it was in university that I started to take my freelancing career more seriously. I designed university and parliamentary election campaign identities, prints, environmental as well as interactive designs.

Ever since then, word of mouth helped me gain a good reputation as a graphic designer. I registered in a number of classes outside my major such as photography classes , graphic design classes and other art classes, all of which have broadened my horizons and reflected positively on my work.

I established, my very own art studio. I work with numerous clients, doing what I love most. My passion for art and my background in marketing have helped me incorporate both elements in my vision of the work I present.

Throughout the stages I have gone through, I have achieved several goals I had in mind: to win school competitions, to see my own designs on billboards, and finally I hold an academic degree in graphic design.

Today I have my own humble studio, which will hopefully enable me to pursue a career in art and design on a professional level.
